Surrounded by danger: unsteady hanging bridges, treacherously narrow paths or dangerous crevices make each step of our action-hungry Hollywood professor’s life more and more difficult. Maybe Indiana Jones should simply spend his next holiday in the Tyrolean holiday region Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis? He certainly would not have to do without his familiar share of thrills. In comparison to Indiana's movie escapades, the climbing adventure which recently awaits those with a good head for heights is actually quite harmless.

Our SUMMER CARD, which offers you lots of holiday enjoyment in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis - all free of charge – is unique to the alpine world!

Anybody staying in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis is given a SUPER  SUMMER CARD along with their guest card. The card can be used for free travel on all gondolas and the bus shuttle service between the villages.

Not only that! Your children (from the age of 5) can take part in great full-day organised programmes (6 days per week) in the Serfaus "Murmli-Club" or in the Fisser "Mini-Maxi-Club". Adults have a choice between 12 (!) guided hiking tours a week.

The preparation is professional: Put on a pilot vest, strap in, thumbs up, take off. Minutes later: hold tight, you’re flying through the valley at 80 km per hour. As from the middle of July, adrenaline junkies can experience an absolute novelty in the Alps in the Oberland holiday resort of Fiss.

The “Fisser Flyer” is a flying apparatus similar to a biplane, which takes four passengers and allows them to soar up to 47 metres. This soaring is then technically caught, as the “Flyer” is guided on wheels, on a non-detachable stable steel cable. The passengers hang in a hang-glider harness that gives the feeling of free flying while maintaining optimal safety. Take-off is at the Möseralm valley station, where all flight preparations take place. The “flyer” is pulled back towards the Kerbboden descent at a rate of 40 km per hour. Once they have reached this point the flyer is turned around and the flight over the Möseralm begins. Once you have landed in the valley after this flight experience, you will most certainly have a considerable dose of adrenaline circulating through your veins.

The children can enjoy their own disco and the performance of the "Miniplayback stars 2007" at the pavilion. Serfaus arts and crafts and shopping until 22:00 round off the "long night".

Those taking part in the “Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis Trophy“ event can conquer the peak either on foot or by bike. Conquering the Schönjöchl on 2 July 2011 as part of the “Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis
Trophy“ is not for those who are feeling a bit out of practice. If you prefer to keep their feet on the ground you can start out on foot and step by step, you’ll conquer the 1,300 metres up to the summit. Passionate mountain bikers and sporty cyclists on the other hand, will experience the Schönjöchl on their metal travelling companions. While the professionals are putting both their high-tech bikes and their condition to the test, those with a little less experience can set out on a modern e-Bike. A special bike requires special timing, so at the end of the race there is a special ranking just for the e-Bike challenge.

While beads of sweat roll from foreheads and run down arms and legs, the sportsmen and women never lose sight of the peak. It is hard to find a more motivational view than the almost 2,500 m high Schönjöchl. After 18 kilometres you have made it! Whether that was with or without the help of an electric gadget, one thing is for certain - to have conquered the narrow paths, the stony terrain and the steep ascent is a formidable challenge in every case! For those not wanting to participate, you can cheer on the athletes on their way to the summit with shouts of joy and thunderous applause.

It all kicks off on 17 June 2011: the Queen stage of the 75th Tour de Suisse will lead from Liechtenstein to Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis. Across the high plateau of the Tyrol cloudless blue skies and lush green mountains form a picturesque backdrop for this noble cycling event.

At 1,400 m above sea level, the excited fans from the three villages eagerly await the arrival of the professional cyclists, while an attractive programme of events makes the waiting time pass more quickly. And then before you know it the first racers are approaching the high plateau. Powerfully, they make their way upwards towards Serfaus, one hairpin bend after another. When they get to the end everyone knows why it is really called the Queen stage: the ascent to the high plateau is far from a walk in the park, and has an extreme level of difficulty meaning cyclists deserve to celebrate in royal style when receiving their award at the presentation ceremony. And where the spectators are concerned, they know that what the twelfth man is to football, the roadside supporters are to cycling. At the end of the Queen Stage in Serfaus, everyone feels a bit like royalty, regardless of whether you are a cyclist or celebrating spectator. All that matters is that you were there!
