The skiing area:

The skiing area is accessible by 53 cableways and lifts of which 31 are above 2000m. 175 km of extremely well prepared pistes in all levels of difficulty and slopes in addition to glacial snow and deep snow slopes as well as an hourly transporting capacity of 60,000 persons await you - a winter sport dream world. True winter sport pleasures are guaranteed by altitudes of between 1200m and 2700m as well as an efficient snow canon.
Alpine skiing with a snowboard, carving, short skis, among others is not everybody's cup of tea. But Serfaus is also the first choice for all other interests. The woods surrounding the village and the sunny plateau - TYROL's SUN VERANDA - offer ideal opportunities for winter hikers, horse carriage rides....
The 111 km cross-country trails which are freshly prepared each day run through the centre of the village - and, almost like a stage presentation, there is also the ice skating rink as well as numerous curling lanes. Glühwein is prepared on a small camp fire.
