The Smugglers’ Trail takes hikers on an unforgettable journey that not only reveals the fascinating landscape and exciting history from Lazid in Serfaus to the Hexensee lake, but also offers a multitude of touching moments. Along the well-marked trail, hikers can not only feel the majestic beauty of the mountain world, but also experience the stories and challenges of the smugglers of days gone by in a very special way. The touch of nature and the emotional connection to the brave people who once travelled these paths are kept alive by the information stations along the trail, reminding us of the unique magic of the mountains.
Sensual hiking moments: The Fiss power and sensory trail
Explore the Fiss Power and Senses Trail, which starts from the middle station of the Schönjochbahn cable car in Steinegg. This trail presents the theme of ‘Power & Senses’ in a fascinating way with various stations that offer relaxation, knowledge transfer and active experiences. Along the trail you will also find additional resting places to deepen the experience. Enjoy gentle walks through the forest with breathtaking views of the mountains and the village of Fiss. After about an hour, you will reach the Kuh Alm, where you can take a cosy break. On your return, we recommend the newly constructed hiking trail, which ends at the valley station and offers a relaxing and picturesque hike. Embark on a sensual journey and be enchanted by the unspoilt power of nature along the Fisser Kraft- und Sinnesweg!
On the path to closeness to nature
Discover an unforgettable family adventure on the family adventure trail, which starts at the Sunliner mountain station. This trail is perfect for the whole family and offers an easy-to-walk adventure through picturesque landscapes. The trail takes you along wide tracks through flowering meadows, while you enjoy the fresh mountain air and magnificent views. At the crossroads (S051), turn left and after a few metres follow the narrow but well-maintained path at WW (S043). After a few hairpin bends, you will return to a forest path that will eventually lead you to Serfaus. As an additional highlight, the puzzle booklet, available in all three information offices, offers an exciting opportunity to enrich the hike with interactive elements.
