Culinary Autumn in Serfaus
The sounds of the Culinary Autumn
When the warm energy of summer slowly recedes from the valleys in Serfaus, a season begins that is not only visible but almost audible. Autumn fills the landscape with soft sounds and creates an atmosphere of tranquillity and vastness. It is within this special atmosphere that the ‘Culinary Autumn’ (6 September–11 October 2026) unfolds in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis – an invitation to experience nature in its clearest, calmest and, at the same time, most intense form. Hikes, bike rides and walks lead through a world of colours, vast open spaces and crystal-clear mountain air. Every step is accompanied by sweeping views, shifting light and a tranquillity that opens the mind to inner reflection.

Where living tradition and the mountains are in harmony
Autumn in the region showcases its rich traditions. The 14th Tractor and Vintage Car Meeting (11–13 September 2026) takes centre stage with lovingly restored tractors, classic cars and historic vehicles. The hum of the engines, gleaming bodywork and the enthusiasm of the participants make the event a special experience for the whole family.
Just a few days later, another autumn highlight follows: the cattle drive down from Almabtrieb Fiss (19 September 2026). Festively decorated cows return from the alpine pastures to the valley, accompanied by music, regional specialities and a colourful programme of events. This traditional festival offers an insight into the region’s living traditions and invites visitors to enjoy the special atmosphere alongside locals and guests alike.

Golden Sounds & Art at 2,436 metres
When the mountains are bathed in warm shades of red and gold at the end of September, one of the most atmospheric times of the year begins with the Golden Autumn Sounds (26 September–10 October 2026). Music drifts through the crisp mountain air, with concerts and traditional melodies blending with the landscape – sometimes powerful, sometimes gentle, always authentic and moving. At the same time, the Schönjoch in Fiss, at an altitude of 2,436 metres, is transformed into an open-air studio for ‘Kunst am Berg’ (5 September–4 October 2026). Artists work live against the backdrop of the Alps, inspired by light, vastness and silence. This gives rise to art in dialogue with nature itself – ephemeral, honest and unique. A special state emerges between sound and creativity: movement and stillness exist simultaneously, without contradicting one another. This is precisely where the magic of these weeks lies.

Autumn to savour
After days filled with new experiences, the Hotel Universo offers a gentle counterpoint to the bustling world outside. The light grows warmer, the rooms become more tranquil, and time loses its sense of urgency. In the wellness area, the wine chapel or the cosy rooms, everything is allowed to sink in: the music, the walks, the encounters and the landscape. Here, the delights of autumn are not simply concluded, but processed – in an atmosphere that restores balance to body and mind. This creates a harmonious rhythm between the outdoors and indoors: the vastness of the mountains – and the tranquillity of arrival. And right in between lies the Hotel Universo, a quiet, harmonious transition into a time of mindful experience.
