The majestic mountains surrounding our Hotel Universo are far more than just a backdrop – they are a symbol of new perspectives, of strength, of life itself. In this world of stone, light and vastness, well-marked paths lead us up to tranquil lakes, barren ridges and wide peaks. We have put together four particularly impressive tours for you – each a short ascent, each a great experience.

To Furgler via the Tieftalsee
A classic that makes hearts beat faster: From Lazid, the route leads over the ridge to Scheid, on to the Moosbahn – and then the steep, powerful ascent along the ridge begins. The Tieftalsee glistens deep below as you hike step by step towards the sky. The path continues upwards over scree fields – UPWARDS, with every breath. Once you reach the top, the proud summit cross and a panorama that makes up for all your efforts await you.
Tip: Set off early to experience the light of the morning sun on the lake – a moment full of magic.

Up the Hexenkopf
This challenging tour begins at the Lazidbahn mountain station. Via the Arrezjoch and the Masnerjoch, the trail finally leads to the east ridge – this is where it gets alpine. Sure-footedness and mountain experience are required, as the last section demands easy climbing and a good feel for the rock. But those who take on this challenge will be rewarded with a first-class summit experience. UPWARDS means here: Overcoming limits – and surpassing yourself.
Tip: Only tackle this tour in stable weather conditions and with mountain experience.

Via the Spinnseensteig to the Rotpleiskopf
Tranquil lakes, rugged cirques and a ridge with wire rope protection – this varied tour promises adventure and scenic diversity. From Oberer Spinnsee, the trail leads steeply up to Spinnscharte and on along the ridge to the summit. At the top: vastness. Peace and quiet. And that indescribable feeling of having made it.
UPWARDS here not only means the way to the top – but also the way to yourself.
Tip: For the descent, we recommend the route via the Kübelgrubenscharte back to the Komperdell – making the round tour a real day full of summit happiness.

Masnerkopf
The Masnerkopf is a little more leisurely, but no less impressive. Trail 28 leads from the Hexenseehütte over flat rock up to the summit – a little closer to the clouds with every step. At the top, you can enjoy an unobstructed view of the surrounding mountains and perhaps a quiet moment to yourself.
Tip: The short descent to Lake Gmairersee (only 15 minutes) is particularly worthwhile for a short, refreshing break with a picnic.
